Scentesters to replace human spritzers

This one is the latest concept in fragrance testing. Replacing traditional human ‘spritzers’ will be five feet tall by one-foot wide pod-like kiosks adorned with the advertisement of a particular scent. The perfume kiosks will be installed in stores and malls and will have a dropper opening from which scent will be dispensed from a 300-ml. reservoir located inside the unit. Not only will the fragrance reservoirs dispense fragrance samples, they will also double up as billboards for the brand. A few scentesters have already been installed at about 78 malls and are being highly appreciated. About seven tester kiosks will be put up at every mall, which is projected to be approximately 550 in total. Participants include luxry brands like Armani fragrances, Ralph Lauren Fragrances, Kenzo, Bulgari, Calvin Klein, Cerruti, Cacharel, Lanc me, Paul Smith, YSL Beaute and Azzaro. Source

Bundchen, the New Face of Liberte

Twenty-six year old Brazilian super model Gisele Bundchen is the new face of cosmetic giant Cacharel’s new fragrance ‘Liberte.’ Bundchen has signed a multi-million dollar deal with the company. Alexander Keller, a spokesperson for Cacharel Perfumes Germany, says, Gisele Bundchen embodies perfectly our fragrance Liberte. She stands for the freedom and independence of young women. Supermodel Bundchen signed the new deal after she parted her ways from lingerie company Victoria’s Secret. The 26-year old will appear in ads for the fragrance in all media, magazines, billboards and television. Perfumers Domitille Bertier and Olivier Polge developed this new fragrance described as an ‘orange chypre.’ The notes include orange, white flowers, bergamot, vetiver and patchouli. Liberte is available now in Europe and reaches the US later this year. Read
