Bella Bellissima is a new range of fragrances for men and women from UK journalist Bella Crane. The Bella Bellissima collection was introduced at Selfridges last month and the range consists of four scents that can be worn individually or layered. The four fragrances are:

Perfect Day for women:
Perfect Day is described as

A stroll through the dappled sunlight of a tree-lined Parisian avenue...a gently swaying hammock before an endless, sparkling, jewel-like ocean...an unexpected gift of the most exquisite, fragrant blooms ...laughter, companionship, embraces.

This fragrance is a green and floral citrus with spicy nutmeg and coriander with notes of green tea, bergamot and Sicilian lemons.

Perfect Night for women:
Perfect Night is described as

Dancing in the moonlight under an endless sea of stars...whispers of promises that thrill the senses...touches that linger, gentle caresses, mystery, passion.

It consists blending of ginger, oriental vetivert and precious amber with a surprising twist of grapefruit, subtly laced with delicate midnight flowers.

Perfect Day and Perfect Night are available in 50 ml Eau de Parfum.

Perfect Man:
Perfect Man is

A rich, earthy effusion of soft woody notes provides the warming backdrop for exotic Venezuelan Tonka, white thyme and aromatic basil, elevated by an unexpected twist of fresh green mandarin.

Perfect Man Alternative:
Perfect Man Alternative is

Fresh yet intense, vibrant and uniquely compelling. The fragrances is a blend of marine top notes including sea kelp and Mediterranean citrus fruits, Tunisian rosemary and carrot seed, enhanced by rare violet leaf absolute and a collection of precious woods.

Perfect Man and Perfect Man Alternative are available in 50 ml Cologne.

The Big Brother star, Caprice will join the trail of other celebrities, as she releases her own brand of perfume next January. At present she has her own series of lingerie that is now in its sixth season and had recently launched her own brand of hair straighteners.

She is following in the footsteps of Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears and Paris Hilton who all have released their own perfumes. The lingerie model is hopeful to cash in on the celebrity scent trend as she says:

It’s a great thing to do because the profit margins are just so big. I’m hoping it will be released some time next January.

Caprice was outraged in March when there was news of checking her into rehab after a drugs overdose. The model was working abroad at that time and the first time she heard about it was when she received voicemail messages from her worried mother.

Caprice said:

When I got off the plane from Johannesburg to Paris and looked at my Blackberry, there were seven messages from my mum. On four of them she was crying hysterically. I had to ring everyone and reassure them it was a load of rubbish.

Her Caprice underwear is bought over by two million women in the UK. The tremendous success of her line in the UK has now made her distribute the line in South Africa, America, and Germany.

The star is also an ambassador for the Prince’s Trust, a chairman for ChildLine, and a committee member of Jewish Blind and Disabled, Action on Addiction and Breast Cancer Awareness.

The eighties pop star and American Idol judge, Paula Abdul is due to launch her first fragrance. The Had Over Heels singer thought for the new venture when she recently discovered her hidden talent of having a good nose for a hit smell.

The fragrance would be known as Sexy Thoughts and for the launch the Straight Up singer agreed when she herself assured of the nice smell after spraying it on her and taking it for a test smell.

On describing the smell of fragrance Paula said:

It’s fun, it’s flirty, it’s chic. It’s sexy... It totally captures the spirit of who I am.

Abdul jokingly added that she was now looking for a series of ‘different’ smell to try on her friend and fellow Idol judge Simon Cowell.

Mentioning the different smell she further added:

In the middle of coming up with my fragrance line, I asked the question, ‘By any chance do you have anything that smells like cat pee, and cow poop and, like, farts?’ I want to put those elements in a bottle, and call it Ode to Simonella. I ‘m going to put it together and I’m going to surprise him next season, and douse it all over the chair.

Armani and Beyonce don’t have any new connection as Beyonce already wears a lot of it. But now, she will be wearing Armani’s scent too. The super sexy diva will be the face of Giorgio Armani’s next women’s fragrance, Emporio Armani Diamonds. Not only this, she will also sing a song for the perfume. The scent is reported to be out this fall.

So, watch out ladies!

Canadian country artist Shania Twain is set to launch her new fragrance ‘Shania Starlight’. The singer’s website describes this new scent as an evening fragrance that captures Twain’s glamorous and sensuous side. The first scent created by the star was daytime scent called Shania by Stetson, meant to celebrate her ‘western chic’ style.

Shania, who was once a Revlon spokesperson, stated that creating scents has been an educational experience. While talking to CMT she said,

I learned a lot about scents... about zoning in on what I really love, what I like, because I haven’t really thought about it so deeply before. I never had to decide what my favorite scents were. I basically just went into the shops, sprayed things on... liked it or didn’t like it. So I did learn a lot from the first fragrance, and I would say I even learned more with the second one because I had to dig deeper.

This latest perfume will hit stores in September.

The Beckhams’- who doesn’t know them and it, seems these celebrities know how to cash their images. Well, to smell like Beckham’s all you need is sprinkling some Beckham’s scents over yourself. Yes, you got me right! David and Posh have just launched their own brand of perfumes called ‘Intimately Beckham’. The brand will have perfumes for both the sexes. The perfumes will be available from next month. The scents will sell for $25 to $55.

When it was asked to Posh that what makes these different from other celebrity perfumes, she said,

why is this different from any other celebrity fragrance? The fact that (I) have spent a lot of time checking all the details. We are not just saying. We are celebrities, put our name on it. I love to be involved with the whole process.

Beckham has signed a deal with Los Angeles Galaxy to play Major League Soccer. However, due to his ankle injury we haven’t seen him playing yet. Posh, is busy designing a signature line of clothing and sunglasses and will also make appearance in the much awaited reunion of Spice girls.

The Oscar winner American actress Gwyneth Paltrow launched the Estee Lauder’s Pleasures Delight fragrance at the Macy’s in Chicago.

For the launch of the new fragrance Paltrow had come dressed in off-the-shoulder shimmering taupe Marc Jacobs dress with Prada shoes. She went on meeting her fans and unveiled the perfume that was placed along a huge 60-feet buffet table and was adorned with iced cupcakes, flower petals, blueberry muffins and fresh berries.

She praised the scent of the fragrance as “It’s got this edible quality”. Those present who purchased the bottle of Pleasures Delight (priced 3.4 ounces ($65) and 1.7 ounces $45) was given the perfume that was signed by Paltrow.

Pleasures Delight is made using essence of pomegranate, greens, peony, lily, rose, muguet, heliotrope freesia, patchouli, caramel, marshmallows and vanilla.

Gwyneth appears in the Delight fragrance ad in which she is riding a bicycle all full of lovely baskets of fruits, berries and desserts.

She has been appearing in Estee Lauder’s ad campaigns since 2005.

Estee Lauder donates some $500,000 from the sale of ‘Pleasures Gwyneth Paltrow’ collection to breast cancer research.

Do you know that who is cosmetics giant Lancme’s new celebrity spokesperson? Yes, it’s none other than Hollywood star Kate Winslet. She was announced a new rep of cosmetics giants Lancome as part of an Internet launch in Paris, France. Winslet was also announced as the new face of the Tresor fragrance and was chosen as the successor to Isabella Rossellini, who was the previous face for the fragrance.

Uma Thurman and movie hunk Clive Owen has also been star faces for cosmetics giants Lancome.

The high-end accessories brand Jimmy Choo is now getting fragrant. London-based footwear and fashion company has signed a 10-year worldwide licensing agreement with Paris-based beauty manufacturer and distributor Selective Beauty SAS as part of the accessory company’s expansion. The first Jimmy Choo fragrance for women is due to launch in Spring 2009.

Tamara Mellon, founder and president of Jimmy Choo said,

Jimmy Choo is a brand which is raising the spirits and capturing the hearts of women all over the world. This exciting new partnership will not only give us the ability to meet the demand for a fragrance, but also achieve my original vision for Jimmy Choo to be one of the most treasured luxury brands.

Jimmy Choo, identical as a luxury for your feet, also got involved into handbags business four years back and now the brand says that fragrance seemed like a natural next step. Choo’s scents will be highly exclusive. This new fragrance will not be accessible so easily as it will be sold in just 2,000 to 3,000 locations worldwide.
