The Had Over Heels singer thought for the new venture when she recently discovered her hidden talent of having a good nose for a hit smell. The fragrance would be known as Sexy Thoughts and for the launch the Straight Up singer agreed when she herself assured of the nice smell after spraying it on her and taking it for a test smell. On describing the smell of fragrance Paula said: It’s fun, it’s flirty, it’s chic. It’s sexy… It totally captures the spirit of who I am. Abdul jokingly added that she was now looking for a series of ‘different’ smell to try on her friend and fellow Idol judge Simon Cowell. Mentioning the different smell she further added: In the middle of coming up with my fragrance line, I asked the question, ‘By any chance do you have anything that smells like cat pee, and cow poop and, like, farts?’ I want to put those elements in a bottle, and call it Ode to Simonella. I ‘m going to put it together and I’m going to surprise him next season, and douse it all over the chair. Source: Femalefirst
Model Caprice Bourret to release her own brand of fragrance
The Big Brother star, Caprice will join the trail of other celebrities, as she releases her own brand of perfume next January. At present she has her own series of lingerie that is now in its sixth season and had recently launched her own brand of hair straighteners. She is following in the footsteps of Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears and Paris Hilton who all have released their own perfumes. The lingerie model is hopeful to cash in on the celebrity scent trend as she says: It’s a great thing to do because the profit margins are just so big. I’m hoping it will be released some time next January. Caprice was outraged in March when there was news of checking her into rehab after a drugs overdose. The model was working abroad at that time and the first time she heard about it was when she received voicemail messages from her worried mother. Caprice said: When I got off the plane from Johannesburg to Paris and looked at my Blackberry, there were seven messages from my mum. On four of them she was crying hysterically. I had to ring everyone and reassure them it was a load of rubbish. Her Caprice underwear is bought over by two million women in the UK. The tremendous success of her line in the UK has now made her distribute the line in South Africa, America, and Germany. The star is also an ambassador for the Prince’s Trust, a chairman for ChildLine, and a committee member of Jewish Blind and Disabled, Action on Addiction and Breast Cancer Awareness. Mensgroom; the next coolest product line for men
Men will remain men forever and their complaints won’t ever cease too. Leaving all the things that men lack, let me come to the point that I am here for. Today we have different types of men; the dandy, the macho and the business types. The rest don’t make into any category. Do you want to know, what makes some make to any of these categories? Well, that’s their style sense which includes their grooming sense also. Yes, I am talking about how life of a man can change with his grooming sense. And that’s all Mensgroom is trying to do. They want all you men to come out of your shells and look perfect. The brand has been launched globally and lemme tell you- it is pretty cool. Sorry ladies, they are concern about men only. However, you can always inform your man or men about this cool product range. They have a nice strategy too; the 16 products have been divided into 3 categories which cover the most essential places. Yeah, the hair that no man can ignore, secondly the face, that only a few ignore and body which most of them does ignore. The line understands where and what men need to focus on. The best part about the brand is that their products use ingredients that are pure and natural. Talking about their website, do check it out. It shows the evolution of grooming in men and that’s a fun thing to watch. Their products, I guess will be good too, so do check them out, use them and tell me. Keep it stylish! Source: Sheknowsbest
Disney enters the fragrance world
Being one of the largest media and entertainment corporations in the world since some 85 years, now Walt Disney is all set to rule the fragrance world. Disney feels that its not just teens and grown ups who need fragrances. With changing needs of preteen boys surely they too need some specifically designed fragrances for themselves which would help in forgetting the smell of sweat, grass and dirt and Disney has come up with that only. Initially Disney will create Pirates of the Caribbean and Buzz Lightyear-branded fragrances, which Disney targets for the boys of 4-11 age group in Latin communities. These new fragrances will be priced at $9.95 and $19.95 and will be available in Wal-Mart, Kmart, Target, Duane Reade, Fred Meyer and Longs Drugs stores in areas with large Hispanic populations. Baby colognes of Disney for both boys and girls have already been accepted largely in European and Latin culture. So now Disney is keener to spread the fragrance business in U.S. where males are slower in getting used to fragrances than European, Latin and South American boys. Source: Styledash
Miranda Kerr is the face of new Clinique fragrance
After being acknowledged as Victoria’s Secret Angel, Miranda Kerr’s career graph is going all up. The small town girl will next be seen as the face of a new Clinique fragrance. Any details about the fragrance are not available, but there are other assignments for sure, which are keeping the model preoccupied with work. The busy bee is also in an endorsement deal with Australian chain store, Portmans. The 24 year old, sexy model from the town of Gunnedah says that she is enjoying every bit of her international lifestyle which can be largely credited to her recent appearances for international lingerie label Victoria’s Secret. Explaining how busy the model is with her work, she said that she has to fly to LA, Barbuda, Spain and New York in less than 2 weeks for different modeling assignments. Tipping on the recent rumor of a link up between the model and Orlando Bloom, Kerr said that it was baseless media hype resulting from heightened media scrutiny attached to her career. Kerr, who doesn’t want to reveal much of her post-modelling plans, Kerr hinted that there are several business plans that would keep her glued to the glamorous fashion industry. Source Image
Angelina calls off her battle over ‘Shiloh’ perfume
When Symine Salimpour, an Israeli/French perfume-maker decided to give her perfume a Hebrew word Shiloh meaning “his gift”, little did she know that the famous Brad couple would have any objections. Jolie had filed a note with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in January this year after discovering that Salimpour was naming her scent ‘Shiloh’, the same as her youngest daughter. Part of the confusion over the name existed because though Salimpour began development of the fragrance two years ago, her application to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office did not occur until June 19, 2006, nearly a month after Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s daughter Shiloh was born on May 27. All along the perfume-maker had insisted that she was not inspired by the celebrity baby, but by the Hebrew meaning. And now, The Washington Post reveals that Jolie has called off her legal eagles, and that Salimpour now has the go ahead to market the product with the name. In accordance with the name five percent of the perfume’s profits will be going to an Israeli non profit organisation Beit Issie Shapiro that provides medical and educational services for disabled children. With the charity part of the perfume now known, Jolie should be happy that her daughter’s name is well-used for a cause. Source
